The IMDEA Nanociencia Institute forms part of one of the strategic lines of UAM-CSIC Cantoblanco Campus of International Excellence, a consortium of academic and research institutions promoted by the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) and the Spanish Scientific Research Council (CSIC), a highly competitive world–class research environment.
Working at IMDEA Nanociencia guarantees access to infrastructure of the highest level for the pursuit of research in nanoscience and nanotechnology. A custom-designed building located on the Cantoblanco Campus of International Excellence, includes 44 specific laboratories and the Centre for Nanofabrication boasting state-of-the-art facilities and access to world-class equipment.
Postdoctoral fellows will have access to an infrastructure of the highest level for the pursuit of research in nanoscience and nanotechnology, alongside an extensive training programme, focused around the individual needs of each fellow’s career development plan.
IMDEA Nanociencia was awarded the accreditation “Severo Ochoa Centre of Excellence” in 2017 by the Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. Severo Ochoa centres of excellence are research structures which have been recognised for their high quality and competitive strategic research programmes in the frontiers of knowledge, and attractive work environments. This award is the highest national recognition of scientific excellence (IMDEA Nanociencia is one of only 28 centres across all disciplines that hold this very competitive award)
